How to Master the AMC 8
The American Mathematics Contest 8 (AMC 8) is the starting point of the prestigious AMC series, which includes AMC 10, AMC 12, and leads to advanced competitions such as AIME, USJMO, and USAMO. It provides younger students with an excellent opportunity to gain experience in math competitions and develop essential problem-solving skills.
The AMC 8 is a 25-question, 40-minute multiple-choice contest designed for middle school students, though motivated 4th and 5th graders are also welcome to participate. Run by the Mathematical Association of America (MAA), it offers a supportive environment where students can apply their classroom knowledge to unique challenges, fostering a love for learning and mathematics.
